He's not very happy, having spent these three weeks being outright ignored by his own boyfriend, for no real reason, as far as he could see. They'd been snippy with each other on that first night, but that didn't warrant the cold shoulder.
Something stops him, though. It's the look that's etched into Alec's face, the waver and tone of his voice. It gives him pause long enough to reevaluate the situation and decide that perhaps this time, anger isn't the path to take.
It would have been so easy to just be mad. But now he can't bring himself to voice it.
He still doesn't look pleased, though. His expression is quietly subdued as he watches, and his tone is the same when he responds. ]
