Eventually? You know how long I went without your company here?
[there's actually a little thread of annoyance there - she's missed him. And more than that, she doesn't actually have any friends. Not really. Just a few of them, but none like him..]

[she just purses her mouth, studying him.]
No. Not really. It's sort of funny how some people need those every now and then. Friends.
Our friendship is totally separate from everything you have with Alec, you know.

Fine. You're forgiven. [she rolls her eyes again, pursing her mouth.
[This isn't going nearly the way she wants it to, and she's more inclined to just hang up and let him go back to his sulking on his own.] I'm close with you, too. Or I thought I was.
Whatever. [she just sighs again, glancing aside as she flutters one hand.] You know where I am if you want me for anything. I haven't moved.

[she was debating it. Mostly because he seems to be in such a fabulous mood, she's not sure she wants to drag her own down to his level. Not that it hasn't already basically happened. Her mouth is still pursed unhappily when she flicks her gaze back up to the camera.]
Something ridiculously chocolatey. This place is totally missing out, you know. I can't believe how the lack of technology affected things.
[that's a yes, by the way. Her expression softens a little, but she still doesn't look totally happy. Resigned, more like.]

Lack of chocolate. Lack of decent ice cream. Lack of hot water that you don't have to boil yourself. [sigh.] So many reasons, really.
[her thumb hovers over the end button, and she manages a little half-smile.]
Yeah. I'll be there. Just give me a few to wrap this up and come by.

Major perk. I'll make a point of going totally out of my way after a Patrol to use your shower.
[seriously. She will. It'll be awesome.]
See you soon, Magnus.

See you soon, Magnus.
[ nervous. that is really the only way that you could describe Alec right now. everything about him screamed nervous energy and something that might almost be called fear.
almost.
it's hard to tell when he refuses to really look at the screen, fidgeting and letting his fingers work at the fraying hem of his dark gray jumper (Anatole was nice enough to gift him with well worn sweaters and not just hunting gear), a few more threads coming loose in his grip before he finally looks up. not right at the screen, but a little bit off, blue eyes constantly moving around.]
Magnus, I... [ he pauses, toys with the fraying hem a little more before he sighs and mumbles out, quickly.] I need to talk to you. And I'm sorry it took me this long and--
[ he stops himself. he really doesn't have an excuse beyond that of his fear, and the guilt that has been curling around his lungs and pressing him down since before he even got to this place, making it almost impossible to breathe without a painful reminder of what he had messed up.]
Can you-- can you meet me at the ruins? Please?
[ he look sup on the please, lets the desperation and fear speak for itself.]
almost.
