CANONMATES
	ISABELLE LIGHTWOOD → nolessthanseven Magnus never thought he would ever be as close to Isabelle than he is now. Rarely does he do the BFF thing (if they're not immortal, they die, and that's just sad), but he honestly wouldn't hesitate to say Isabelle has that position. They shop together, have sleepovers with ice cream and cheesy romcoms, and minus that one awkward time they got really drunk, they generally move along smoothly. They're in a good place right now, and he can always depend on her to talk sense into him when he's not thinking too clearly. (Like that one time he was forever drunk and mildly inappropriate with everybody except his boyfriend.)
	ALEXANDER LIGHTWOOD → not_trivial His boyfriend. A fact that Magnus is quite happy about. And at risk of sounding terribly corny, Alec is more accurately the love of his ridiculously long life. He loved many times in the past, but what he has with Alec is so much brighter and intense. Despite all the hang ups and speed bumps they've come across while in Anatole, they're in a pretty good place right now, and he'd like to keep it that way.
	JACE HERONDALE → ignis He doesn't hate Jace. Doesn't even dislike him, really. What he doesn't like, though, is knowing Alec would give his life for Jace. Magnus can't help but to resent him for that. He does, at times, enjoy their banter and arguing, with how lighthearted and easy it usually is. He'll do favors for Jace only because Alec would want him to.
	CLARY FRAY → artem To be honest, he'd be hesitant to consider Clary a friend. But he's known the girl her entire life, watched her grow up, even if she was unaware of it, and it's sort of difficult to call somebody only an acquaintance after that. So friend it is. She's cute and she's good company and he does enjoy talking to her. Even if her arrival at that party way back when was where all his problems started.
	SEBASTIAN VERLAC → acherontamovebo There's not really much to be said here. Sebastian is bad and Magnus hates him. End of story.
	SIMON LEWIS → maccabeus Magnus has a blast with buying and/or stealing things to dress Simon in. Eventually, they're going to be the only two left, whether they like it or not, and if Magnus is stuck with him for all of eternity, he's going to make sure he dresses better. Magenta is totally Simon's color, and it's not just a fancy purple, thank you.
	GABRIEL LIGHTWOOD → gabriellightwood He never got to know the youngest Lightwood boy very well way back when. But since he's currently dating said Lightwood's great-great-great grandson, maybe now's a good time to do so.

CROSSCANON
	GELLERT GRINDELWALD → thegreatergood Not only is Gellert wildly talented and intelligent, but he's also unfairly attractive, which are three good reasons to be friends with him, Magnus thinks. He enjoys Gellert's company and looks forward to dueling him again.
	DRACO MALFOY → alphaophiuchi Magnus either hates Draco or he likes Draco, there is no in between. Half the time he has to quell the urge to turn Draco into a pretty blonde coat rack, the other half the time he sort of just wants to stare at him and think about how cute and impressive he can be. It's weird.
	KAI-LIANG → yshariprodigy He doesn't know Kai very well, but fellow magic users are always fun. Especially fellow magic users who wear nice leather pants and are fun to hit on. Not that he's doing that anymore. Not since he got in Big Trouble for it. But still. Kai is decent company.

GONE HOME
	JESSAMINE LOVELACE → halfthelady Jessamine is difficult to get along with. She's difficult period, really. Magnus has tried a few times to be civil to her, but has since deemed it to be impossible. Now, he's quite content with getting into arguments and bickering with her.
	WILLIAM HERONDALE → galahads William is a strong memory from his distant past. He's already witnessed his death once, and doesn't know if having him back here, young, alive and kicking is what he wants. However, he's not going to turn down the opportunity to see him again. Will treated him like an equal, not the way Shadowhunters generally treat warlocks, and that means something.
	BELA TALBOT → onsilksheets He doesn't know Bela very well, but she's shown concern and kindness towards him, and he's appreciates it. He's also extended his services to her, though she's yet to take him up on the offer.
	HARRY POTTER → wholived Whatever his relationship is with this kid, he really doesn't mind. First they couldn't stop spilling the truth to each other, then they were in love for a day. Then Magnus bought him drinks and, well. He's good company, at least.
	ANDERS → justice_is_blond From the few times Magnus has talked to him, Anders seems like a decent guy. So far, they've agreed on a large amount of issues, including the battle between good and evil, species equality, and cats. Magnus would love to talk to him more, to see the kind of magical abilities he wields.
